Who can join UA Village? |
Membership is open to residents 50 and older who live within the boundaries of Upper Arlington. |
Can a Village exist if there's already a community or senior center? | Yes! In fact, most villages exist in an area where these centers are also in place. The strength of a Village is that it is designed to meet the evolving needs identified by residents that are otherwise unmet. |
What is my investment to belong to UA Village? |
UA Village members invest $30/month ($360/year). Free and reduced memberships are available to those in need. Please contact UACOA Executive Director, Jennifer Cameron, for details before submitting your application. |
Why is there a membership fee? | Your fee, combined with outside grants, supports coordination of services, as well as most of the events and activities we host. |
I don't think UA Village is right for me. | That's OK! If things change, we will be here as an additional resource as you age in UA. |
How many members are in UA Village? | More every day! Villages that have been around for years have hundreds of members - but it takes time. The more friends you invite to join us, the faster we will grow. |
If I'm not a Village member, can I still attend UA Commission on Aging events or utilize their services? | Absolutely! UACOA events and resources remain available to all UA residents. |
